Office closed to public at high-risk Red

Like many of us, we have made changes to how we operate under the Covid-19 Protection Framework traffic light system to keep everyone safe.

In Red and where there is Covid-19 in Whanganui, the office at 357 Victoria Avenue will be closed to the general public. You will need to make an appointment to enter the building.

For pātaka – no kaimoana will be distributed from the office. Instead, a payment will be made to a nominated bank account to help whānau purchase kaimoana directly.

Merchandise will be unavailable at this time.

Please note that Ngā Tāngata Tiaki will not require a Vaccine Pass from those who wish to engage with us.

The office will reopen at Red but only if there are no active Covid-19 cases in Whanganui.

Thank you for your understanding. Take care of each other. Patua te ngāngara. Protect our whakapapa.

Register

Do you whakapapa to the Whanganui River? Would you and your whānau like to be registered on the Whanganui Iwi Database? What does that mean?

It means that you get sent pānui and updates on kaupapa related to the Whanganui River and Te Awa Tupua, the people and the river from the Mountains to the Sea. You can also apply for the different grants that are advertised on our website and facebook page.

If you are already on the database and need to up date your details please head to the database or send us an email at office@ngatangatatiaki.co.nz
