Taranaki Whanganui Conservation Board 2026 appointment

Ngā Tāngata Tiaki o Whanganui can nominate a suitably qualified person as provided for in section 6P (7) (b) of the Conservation Action 1987 to the Taranaki Whanganui Conservation Board.

Applicants are welcome to submit a short candidate profile and CV to demonstrate the reasons they wish to serve the board. Listing your relevant skills and attributes relevant to the position of Board Member to the Conservation Board.

Importantly applicants should be able to demonstrate:
• A commitment to Tupua te Kawa, Te Awa Tupua.
• A connection with and understanding of the various hapū and mana whenua.
• Experience and skills relevant to the position that shall assist the Board from a broader context with the above in mind.

Your CV, should also note:
• Relevant skills and attributes the candidate will bring to the position.
• Qualifications and work experience (including any relevant work history, familiarity with conservation land and conservation issues, community involvement including conservation activity).
