Our e-pānui for Poutūterangi is out

Ngā Tāngata Tiaki o Whanganui e-pānui for Poututerangi 2022

The third and final reading of the Te Awa Tupua Act 2017 in parliament on March 14, 2017.

In our latest e-pānui, we celebrate 5 years since the landmark Te Awa Tupua (Whanganui River Claims Settlement) Act became law in Aotearoa. How far have we come and how much more work is there ahead?

We also look at what it means to work in a Te Awa Tupua way and how the act is empowering hapū.

There's more about the pilot Awa Monitors taking placing in the Upper Reaches under the leadership of Ngāti Haua, changes to how our tertiary scholarships will be administered, and helpful contact information for those of us battling Covid-19 at home.
